The General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS) through the Department of Human Development, Education and Employment is offering scholarships in the programme Expert in Family Agriculture in the Framework of Human Right to Food which will run from December 5th, 2016 to March 10th, 2017. The modality of the course is online and the language of instruction is English.
OBJECTIVES
The course aims to:
- train professionals capable to contribute to food and nutritional security for peasant families, indigenous communities and populations who are vulnerable to food insecurity, in support of the human right to food.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To qualify for the scholarship, the candidates must:
- be citizens or permanent residents of a member state of the OAS;
- have an academic degree especially in social sciences; and
- submit the completed application and supporting documents before the deadline set by the Department of Education, Innovation and Gender Relations.
BENEFITS
The recipient will receive the following:
50% partial scholarship (Scholarship recipients will be responsible for the payment of 50% remaining of the tuition fee: US$500.00)
