THE 2025 THEME IS LOCAL YOUTH ACTIONS FOR THE SDGs AND BEYOND.
The Ministry of Youth Development and Sports joins the global community in marking International Youth Day 2025 under the theme “Local Youth Actions for the Sustainable Development Goals and Beyond.”
Across Saint Lucia, young people are proving every day that they are not just the leaders of tomorrow; they are driving change today in key sectors. Whether through the Saint Lucia Youth Service Corps Programme, National Youth Council initiatives, CARICOM Youth Ambassadors Programme, Youth Development Activities, District and National Youth Awards Ceremonies, National Youth Parliament, Youth Leadership Training, or our Summer Youth Programmes, they are turning bold ideas into concrete action.
Their efforts—from promoting healthy lifestyles through sport to championing education, environmental protection, and community development—are building stronger, more sustainable communities and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals right here in Saint Lucia.
On this day, the ministry salutes every young Saint Lucian making a difference. We remain committed to creating opportunities, nurturing talent, and empowering youth to shape a better future for Saint Lucia.
