THE YOUNG LEADERS OF THE AMERICAS INITIATIVE IS A FIVE-WEEK FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME THAT SEEKS TO DEVELOP MORE CREATIVE BUSINESSES.

The Department of Commerce, International Trade, Investment, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs would like to inform entrepreneurs between the ages of 25 – 35, of the United States fellowship programme dubbed, “the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI),” to be held from September – October, 2018.

The YLAI Professional Fellowship is a five-week programme, fully funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, targeting young entrepreneurs who have been growing their business or social venture for at least two years.

This initiative aims to empower innovative business and social entrepreneurs from Latin America and the Caribbean by strengthening their capacity to advance their entrepreneurial ideas and effectively contribute to the social and economic development of their countries. Through this programme, entrepreneurs will gain valuable leadership, entrepreneurial and management skills; strengthen their capacity to lead and promote their business and expand their networks regionally and internationally.

The Department of Commerce encourages our young entrepreneurs to take advantage of this opportunity as we seek to develop more innovative and creative businesses.
